After this weekend, I think I'm going to be talking out loud to my newspaper. And I thought it was March that was supposed to come in like a lion.
So. Week 18.
Write a 1000-10,000 word prose (or 333-3,333 word verse) story inspired by:
I think you're my new favorite puzzle.
Oh! I read a short story once called "Flesh Puzzles" about a middle age man who fell in love with his new thirteen year old neighbor. He kidnapped her, murdered her while completely dissecting her body and hung her several body parts up on the wall. . . I'll try to make something less disturbing.
ReplyDeleteRemind me not to read "Flesh Puzzles" :P
ReplyDeleteI need to remember to put in that "verse" thing in my prompts!
Coincidentally, I just finished a puzzle this past week. A cardboard-piece puzzle, not a severed-body-part-of-a-thirteen-year-old puzzle. :P
ReplyDeleteGood to know Michael, good to know. ;) The last puzzle I did was one a friend got from a 2nd hand shop - naturally it had bits missing due to its second-hand nature. hehe
ReplyDeleteP.S. I can't believe I finished already! This is UNHEARD OF... well actually I think I finished early in the week sometime back near the beginning :P but suffice it to say it's been a while!
ReplyDeleteHeh, it must be a miracle week - I've actually got mine started. Let's see if I actually finish it.... ;)
ReplyDeleteWoooow! awesome :D I look forward to seeing the other stories :)
ReplyDeleteAnd since I finished mine early last week, I have noooo idea where to go this week....lol...
ReplyDeleteI haven't done a puzzle in, oh, ages.
I'm still battling to start ... *sighs* ... oh well , probably gonna be a late one again this time ... unless I am struck by a divine flash of inspiration ....LOL !!
ReplyDeleteJes, it happens like that sometimes eh? ;) I never really find myself "on a roll", i.e. steaming ahead more than one week in a row :P
ReplyDeleteMichelle - don't worry. I started last week's story on Saturday ;)
