PROMPT NUMBER THIRTY-ONE

Hey Experimenters!

Write a short story of 1,000 - 10,000 words based on the following:

They're not mutually exclusive. It's like how all blood tastes salty, but not all salt tastes like blood.

By the way - re: the word minimum thing - under 1,000 would technically be flash fiction, so... that's why. =P I think upward of 10k is a novella (if, um, anyone's having that problem. XD). Not sure on that one, but 1-10k is standard length.

Best of luck,
Winter

  1. Like all wildflowers are weeds but not all weeds are wildflowers?

Maybe my short story career would be better as a flash fiction one then. XD

  2. Well, dude. I'm actually starting my story on Wednesday of the week it's due! I've learned that to procrastinate too long is to tempt failure. ;)

  3. My story this week'll still be on last week's prompt, sadly. but I swear I'll catch up...eventually...

  5. I still have to write four or five short stories for the weeks I missed during JuNoWriMo. Maybe I'll go on a speed writing streak and get all of them done today.

I saw salty and blood and shouted "Perfect for Shark Week!" Then I read it again. . . oh well, sharks may still be in my story.

Word verification is ON because this blog is closed and I hate spam, which I was getting some of. SORRY :( I do hate those captcha things with a deadly vehemence.
