I used to have those in high school. My school didn't have air conditioning so we used to get out at 11:15 every time the daily high crawled above 90 F. Of course we'd get three days of homework to make up for it. :)
Whereas my comment is spoken like someone who is suffering through an awful uncharacteristically humid (it's meant to be DRY heat here, damn it!) Australian summer :D
Word verification is ON because this blog is closed and I hate spam, which I was getting some of. SORRY :( I do hate those captcha things with a deadly vehemence.
I have an idea. Now I just have to think how I can make that idea into a story.
ReplyDeleteTo quote Shan-Yu from Mulan..."Perfect." :P
ReplyDeleteIt's my own prompt and I have no idea yet :D
ReplyDeleteHmmm . . . if I can get into my story this week, I might do more with it during GothNoWriMo in October. Just read Du Maurier's Rebecca. I'm obsessed.
ReplyDeleteOh! I have an idea. And today is a snow day, so maybe I can get my story done super early. :D
ReplyDeleteI wish we had "It's WAYYYY too damn hot!" days so we could stay home from work :P

ReplyDeleteHaha, we had to wait till it got to about 107f to get out of school. You know, the kind of heat that buckles train tracks.
ReplyDeleteI really hate summer. ;) Especially now, when I'm smack in the middle of it :P
Really? I love summer. 110F is almost perfect. XD
ReplyDeleteI am the Anti-Summer ;)
ReplyDeleteBrooke . . . spoken like someone who's just withstood a blizzard. It's been a rough winter for the whole country, hasn't it? Except on the west coast.

ReplyDeleteAck, humidity sucks! Especially humidity with mosquitoes. They should offer you a day off just to turn over buckets of stagnant water.
ReplyDeleteOr spoken like someone who just really hates the cold. XD I didn't like the blizzard much though. I stayed inside for four days!
ReplyDeleteWow. I think Chicago is supposed to get hit with something like eight inches of snow tomorrow. Hope you're somewhere warmer. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd just when we were hoping that meteorological winter was over!
:( I am so jealous of those guys! :P
ReplyDeleteMy high school friend lives in Chicago, and she hates it because of the winter. I hate her 'cause I don't get to live there. LOL
