PROMPT NUMBER TWENTY

Oooh, it's nearly the Chrysalis Experiment's 21st! :D For now though, just boring 20th... lol

Write a 1000-10,000 word prose (or 333-3,300 word verse) story based on the following:

I find myself drawn to the shadow domain

Fun times!

  1. Uh. . . AWESOME! This sounds like a perfect story for me. Ideas are already rolling around. ;) I can't believe it's been twenty weeks this year already and I still haven't found the rewind button. *sigh* It's all too fast.

  2. Holy crap, we really are psychic. I'm about 10k into a WIP that fits this prompt PERFECTLY. Wish I could post it, haha! But no... I'll have to think of something else, hmm...

    Challenge accepted. =P

  3. I hate it when that happens, don't you? hehe. Well okay, I don't mind it - if I'm feeling inspired anyway ;)

  4. At least I have an idea. I'm still working on last week's story. XD It's a result of slow-coming ideas and laziness.

  5. I still haven't started my own story ;) We were talking a while back about how quite often our own prompts are the hardest for us to write.

  6. Yeah, we were. For me, I think it is because there is so much anticipation leading up to posting the prompt and sometimes the scope of the idea is just that much bigger when you know what you're going to write about ahead of time.

Although, shadow domains are going to be tough this week. My first novel was about a girl who was so passive that she only experienced life through shadows and reflections who later want to abduct her. I turned the plot of that novel into an earlier Chrysalis. So there goes my big shadow idea . . .

  7. Well, I wrote mine...but it was one of those "eh, don't much care for it" efforts. :D

  8. Oh, I didn't think the 20th was boring at all. It totally worked out great for a Princess Caitlin story. :P
